Ana Caram

Ana Caram, born Ana Lucia Ribeiro Caram on 1 October 1958, is a Brazilian singer, guitarist and flautist. Her music blends bossa nova, samba, jazz and Brazilian popular music. Apple Music lists her as a Brazilian jazz artist, with known songs including “Blue Bossa,” “O Amor Em Paz,” “Leve,” and “Fly Me to the Moon.”

She was born in Brazil into a musical family and studied music, including composition and conducting. She later became associated with Antônio Carlos Jobim, one of the great names of bossa nova, who encouraged her artistic path.

Ana Caram is especially appreciated by bossa nova, jazz and audiophile music listeners. She recorded several albums for Chesky Records, including Rio After Dark, The Other Side of Jobim, Bossa Nova, Blue Bossa, and Hollywood Rio.
