The Greater Good is an acclaimed acoustic folk/Americana trio formed by three established singer-songwriters: Eugene Ruffolo, Dennis Kolen, and Shane Alexander. The group is primarily known for their sophisticated vocal harmonies, intricate guitar work, and the exceptional “audiophile” production quality of their recordings.
-
Genre: Folk, Americana, Acoustic Rock.
-
Key Album: Their self-titled debut, The Greater Good (2012), released via the German specialty label Stockfisch Records.
-
Notable Songs: “Rainbow’s Gold,” “If I Could,” and “Tell Me Why.”
The group is highly regarded in the high-fidelity (Hi-Fi) community because their music is often used to demonstrate the clarity and range of high-end audio systems.
