Badi Assad is a Brazilian singer, composer, guitarist, percussionist, and vocal performer. Her music blends Brazilian folk, MPB, jazz, classical guitar, world music, and experimental vocal techniques. Apple Music describes her as a Brazilian fingerstyle guitarist and vocalist whose work crosses Brazilian folk, MPB, classical, jazz, and world traditions.

She became internationally known with albums such as Solo from 1994, Rhythms, Echoes of Brazil, Verde, Wonderland, Hatched, Around the World, and more recent releases such as Bentu and Parte de Tudo Isso. Her official website says she has released around 20 albums worldwide and performed in more than 40 countries; it also notes that Wonderland was selected among BBC London’s top 100 albums and Amazon.com’s top 30.

Badi Assad is known especially for her distinctive guitar technique, prepared-guitar sounds, rhythmic body/percussion effects, and “vocal juggling.” SoundCloud’s artist profile describes her as a singer-songwriter, acoustic guitar player, and vocal juggler whose music mixes Brazilian roots with pop, jazz, and world/ethnic sounds.
