Released to commemorate Tannoy’s 85th year in the audio industry, this collection focuses on the raw, uncompressed beauty of live recordings. While studio albums offer perfection, this “Live” edition is designed to test a system’s ability to recreate a three-dimensional acoustic space, the “air” around the instruments and the subtle cues of a live audience. For the high-end collector, the Tannoy 85th Live is the ultimate benchmark for transparency. It reveals whether your amplifier and speakers can handle the sudden dynamic peaks of a live performance without losing the fine, whispered details of the background. It isn’t just a CD; it is a time machine that transports you to the front row of the performance.
