Chuck Mangione was an American jazz flugelhorn player, trumpeter, composer, and bandleader from Rochester, New York. His music is mainly jazz, jazz fusion, smooth jazz, and jazz-pop. His official website describes him as an internationally acclaimed recording artist, flugelhorn player, and composer best known for the 1977 hit “Feels So Good.”
His most important albums include Feels So Good, Children of Sanchez, Bellavia, Land of Make Believe, Chase the Clouds Away, Fun and Games, and An Evening of Magic: Live at the Hollywood Bowl. Popular tracks include “Feels So Good,” “Give It All You Got,” “Children of Sanchez,” “Bellavia,” “Chase the Clouds Away,” and “Land of Make Believe.” Amazon Music and Deezer list these among his most prominent songs and albums.
He is known for bringing melodic instrumental jazz to a mainstream audience in the 1970s, especially through the crossover success of “Feels So Good.” He also won Grammy Awards for Bellavia and Children of Sanchez, and became a pop-culture figure through appearances connected to King of the Hill.
